Shiflett Shepherds is Bobby and Evie Shiflett and our six children. Bobby is a partner at an independent rep firm in the security industry, and Evie is a full-time homemaker and part-time dog whisperer. We decided to pair our entrepreneurial spirit with our love for German Shepherds to bring other families the joy this breed has brought ours.

Every puppy is given the best start in life: a great pedigree, a family home, and plenty of socialization. Each one is health-checked and vaccinated to date before going home with its new family.
Our puppies are bred from the finest lines imported from Germany or descended from prestigious German imports. Our dams include Queen of Beauty, Annika, and Bella, each imported from Germany, along with Raja, a very loving breeding female.
Our sire, Griffin vom Kreuz Haus, is the son of SG7 Olena von der Piste Trophe and Romeo vom Fleischerheim, and the maternal grandson of World Vize Sieger VA2 Asap vom Aldamar IGP3. Griffin is also available for stud service, and you can meet him and the rest of our dogs on our Adult Dogs page.
Responsible breeding starts with the parents. Each of our puppies comes from AKC registered parents whose hips and elbows have been cleared by the OFA, and our parent dogs are DM cleared, giving our puppies the healthiest possible start.
We hold outside studs to the same standard. When we use a stud from another breeder, we still meet him and check his demeanor first. If health classifications like OFA, PennHip, and DM cleared are new to you, our Information page explains each one in plain English.
Every Shiflett puppy is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), and both of its parents are AKC registered as well. Registration documents your puppy’s purebred lineage alongside the published pedigrees of our parent dogs.
Our puppies are raised in our Roanoke home alongside our family, interacting daily with our family and friends. This nurturing environment fosters their natural loyalty, intelligence, and gentle demeanor.
Even our adult dogs lend a hand. Griffin has a unique nurturing instinct and eagerly involves himself in the care and socialization of our puppies.
Socialization is part of every day here. Our puppies grow up around children of all ages, gentle adult dogs, and the everyday sounds of a busy household, so new experiences feel familiar by the time they head home.
